10 January 2006
Acting on behalf of BAE Systems Limited, Hollis Hockley & ATIS Real have concluded a letting of the first floor (12,380 sq ft) to Lockheed Martin Stasys Limited, for a term of 15 years at a commencing rent of £17.50 per sq ft. Within the transaction, Lockheed Martin have options to take the first floor (12,442 sq ft) and the second floor (12,967 sq ft) on similar terms.
Current occupiers on Farnborough Aerospace Centre include BAE Systems, Systems Union and Johnson Controls, and the letting to Lockheed Martin Stasys Limited confirms the ongoing stature and importance of the Centre as a prestigious office location alongside the airfield, emphasising the structural and regional importance of the various developments around the airfield, including Farnborough Business Park and Aeropark.
The ongoing expansion and development of Farnborough Airfield and the new development being undertaken on Farnborough Business Park by Slough Estates and Aeropark by Terrace Hill, will continue to maintain the significance of this area, attracting quality occupiers to established business surroundings and good road and rail communications, ultimately linked to the redevelopment of the town centre by St. Modwen.
