Cooper Foods' expansion leads to larger warehouse

Cooper Foods (Andover) Ltd have completed the purchase of the long leasehold interest of Unit 13 Hopkinson Way, West Portway Industrial Estate, Andover.  The Unit, totalling 15,130 sq ft together with a secure rear yard, were sold by CBRE Investors to Coopers for £850,000.  The deal which completed on Christmas Eve was concluded within one month of terms being agreed.  Will Cooper of Cooper Foods said "we are delighted to have completed the purchase of this new modern building on West Portway which will enable us to expand our operation, and install a larger refrigeration unit".

Andrew Newman of Hollis Hockley, acting for the vendors, said "this transaction is a good result for all parties concerned.  The unit meets the purchaser's needs, price agreed was at a level acceptable to the vendors, and Test Valley Borough Council Estates Department enabled the matter to complete very rapidly".  Hollis Hockley acted for the vendors CBRE Investors and Robert Fennell of Fennell Property advised Cooper Foods.
