As a further sign of an improving M3 office market, L-3 Communications ASA Ltd., the US owned systems solution company have leased 13,900 sq ft comprising the ground and 1st floors of Rusint House, Ancells Business Park, Fleet. L-3 Communications Corporation is America's sixth largest defence company by turnover, operating as a prime contractor in Command, Control and Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C³ISR), Government Services, Aircraft Modernisation and Maintenance (AM&M) and has the broadest base of Specialized Products in the industry. L-3 is a major supplier to the UK MOD.
L-3 ASA is re-locating from offices in Alton and has taken a new 10 year lease on the property at a headline rental of £18.00 per sq ft. Andrew Newman of Hollis Hockley who acted for L-3 ASA said "This transaction confirms that activity along the central M3 corridor for major corporates continues. Both our Farnborough and Basingstoke offices are continuing to see ongoing letting activity in the remaining Grade A buildings, and this will lead to a significant shortage of Grade A stock in late 2009 and 2010 combined with a uplift in rents for the best remaining and new space."
David James, Managing Director of L-3 ASA said "We are delighted to have found a new home in Fleet. The central M3 corridor is a good location for key staff and core business, and this will enable us to continue to improve our service to clients and expand the business."
