2 June 2008

Portsmouth Estates' policy of accommodating existing tenants' growth needs has again been vindicated at Borlase House, Manor Farm, Cliddesden.  Current tenant React Technologies has expanded, taking new office space nearly 2.5 times as large as their previous accommodation and surrendering simultaneously its lease on Walker House, Manor Farm, Cliddesden.

Borlase House is an attractive two storey barn conversion of which React Technologies now occupy 2,550 sq ft, leaving approximately 1,200 sq ft to let on two floors of the east wing of the building.  As a result of React Technologies' move, 1,100 sq ft of single storey accommodation is now available at Walker House.  Manor Farm, Cliddesden is the first of Portsmouth Estates' barn conversions.  The project was completed was completed in the late 1980's and won a Country Landowners Association agricultural buildings conversion award in the early 90s.  The Earl of Portsmouth said, "We are delighted to see the continued success and growth of React Technologies in these lovely old buildings and we hope very much to establish a long term relationship with the company".

Jess Thompson-Hughes of React Technologies said "React Technologies is a fast growing company in the IT sector, specializing in wireless networks and a flexible solution as provided by Portsmouth Estates has been ideal for our purposes".  Andrew Newman of letting agents Hollis Hockley said "Portsmouth Estates flexible letting approach together with the undoubted appeal of the buildings bears testimony once again to the success of a well designed rural conversion.  We are already able to report interest in Walker House and a further 1,200 sq ft remains available in Borlase House".
