Following a brief marketing campaign, Snell & Wilcox, a leading digital media content company have completed the sale of Liss Mill, Liss to Shilling Ltd, an independent firm providing consultancy services in the area of employee benefits communication.
The quoting Freehold price was £725,000.
Liss Mill is a local historical landmark built on the site of a previous mill in 1835 and benefits from a number of attractive original features including vaulted ceilings and the distinctive hay loft.
Nick Olliffe of marketing agents Hollis Hockley who handled the sale on behalf of Snell & Wilcox commented "there was no real surprise that this building generated strong interest given the character of the building, its condition and of course the fact that the Freehold was available to purchase. It is also satisfying from a local perspective to have completed the transaction with Shilling Ltd, a thriving local business demonstrating strong growth".
Kevin Shilling is pleased his company has acquired the Mill. He commented, "We have made the commitment to grow our business in Liss. It is a great village and clients enjoy visiting this lovely part of Hampshire. We plan to restore some of the former features of the Mill; we won't be grinding corn but we will be helping, in a small way, to make the heavy wheels of commerce turn."
Hollis Hockley acted for Snell & Wilcox. Shilling Ltd were unrepresented.
