What is the Rateable Value?

The Rateable Value (RV) of non-domestic property is an estimate of the annual rent that would be paid for the subject property at a fixed date (the antecedent date) prior to the publication of the current rating list, subject to a number of legislative assumptions.

What is the Uniform Business Rate?

The Uniform Business Rate (UBR) is set by the government on an annual basis and applied to the Rateable Value in order to calculate the annual rates payable.
